We do this every year and also help with the big packing and shipping areas.

My daughter (8) has decided this year to spend her own money on her box to send. =)

I love this operation! In Holland it used to be called operation Shoe-box, but i see this is an international organization now! As a child I always did this, I love the idea and filling up shoeboxes! I have to find out if i can participate in Holland, because if I can, I most certainly will!
Thank you so much for notifying me, I have not done this in years (since i left high school :D ) so I totally forgotten about this, and I really do want to participate! :D
You guys are great people for doing this!

We have something called the Mr X Appeal. People are asked to take a childs name tag from a tree in a store over here and buy a gift for that child, wrap it and hand it in to the store. The gifts goes to needy children in our city. Its a sad thing when it happens to be somwhere you live, so Im going to do this.

We have a similar thing for kids here too, as well as being able to donate to several charitable organizations here in town.
