3rd Annual Santa's Sleigh - Pick A Sleigh Thread

Well, my fellow MMC Christmas Nuts, it's that time of year again. It's time for our Annual, 3rd Annual to be exact, Santa's Sleigh - Pick A Sleigh Thread.

For those of you who haven't particpated yet, here's the background of
Santa's Sleigh (http://santassleigh.org) charity and you will find more information on
2010's Santa's Sleigh Family here. (http://www.santassleigh.org/2010/10/06/all-about-our-christmas-family-for-2010/)

It's such a worthy cause and we hope that you will consider donating to the cause and/or spread awareness through this thread, email, etc.

Here's this year's details for the thread:

1.) Please note the poll at the top of the page. Each selection has a Sleigh Number posted. Each Sleigh has a secret dollar amount assigned to it, only Jeff and myself know. It is in increments from $10 - $100 (assigned randomly and not in order).

2.) Select your Sleigh carefully, as you only get to vote once. (PLEASE NOTE YOUR VOTE OR POST DOES NOT OBLIGATE YOU TO DONATE)

3.) When/If this thread reaches 1000 posts $50 will be added to the most popular sleigh. (must reach 1000 by Nov 30, 2010)

4.) When/If this thread reaches 2000 posts an additional $50 (total of $100) will be added to the most popular sleigh. (must reach 2000 by Nov 30, 2010)

5.) Voting or as we say here in the South, "Sleigh Picking" ends November 30th.

6.) At that time, the winning Sleigh's dollar value will be revealed along with the total. Then the donation will be made to Santa's Sleigh in the name of all MMC Members.

That's not too hard. And it makes it so easy to help this family in need.

So spread the word and lets get the Christmas Season underway!

well gang, i've been planning some festive days out today and this is what i've got so far:

*theme park with christmas meal and a magical trip to santa's grotto on november 28th.

*our local farm to see the animals and to see their christmas nativity scene AND to see santa in his grotto at the farm on december 1st.

*weekend in london, where i'll visit winter wonderland and do some christmas shopping on december 4th.

*my local village's christmas market on december 11th

*trip to the village cinema on december 23rd with friends to see 'it's a wonderful life'

busy, fun, exciting time! my baby daughter is going to love all these visits to the grotto!

Santa's Sleigh is a charity run as part of the Merry Network. CharlestonNole Puts a poll up every year to determine how much they give. Each sleigh has a dollar amount assigned to it and the one that has the most votes for it wins. Only CharlestonNole and Jeff know how much money is assigned to each number. CharlestonNole will also give an extra $50 dollars if we get 1,000 posts in this thread before the end of the month. If we get 2,000 posts they will donate $100 extra. So we try to get as many post as possible in this thread during november.

It is true.......they came from Greek left-wing extremists....they also send packages to Berlusconi in Italy and Sarcozy in France....I hate how people never seem to try anything else but violence...when violence almost never works in political things.....IDiots....thank God nobody got injured

over here November 11th will be St. Martin......the kids in pretty much every city in Germany will be doing Lantern Parades and sing special Lantern and St. Martin Songs.
Usually the do a play of St. Martin and there is a bonfire too.........Kandice pre-school does their parade on Sunday, so we look forward to that
