I know some of you are mad at Target right now, but...
I went there yesterday and they had both Elf and The Polar Express DVDs on sale. They had Elf for $10 and The Polar Express for I think $13. They also have the original Santa Claus with Tim Allen for $10 and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation for $13. Additionally, they have that package deal with Rudolph, Frosty, Year Without a Santa Claus, and some others for $30 and you get a $5 gift card with purchase. They've got some other Christmas DVD stuff on sale, but nothing of too great interest.

Why is everybody mad at Target?
I saw that combo pack...I kinda thought $30 was pretty steep but I've never tried to buy that before, so maybe I am just not aware of what that costs.

If you planned on buying all of them seperately it's an alright deal. The packaging on the set is also pretty cool if you're concerned with that sort of thing.
I believe being mad at Target had something to do with them not allowing the Salvation Army bell ringers in front of the stores. Honestly I don't know a whole lot about it.

My wifey and I happened across a test run of Polar Express, the week before it was released, at the Green Hills Mall in Nashville. Right afterwards we went into the mall and I bought a Polar Express mug that has a train running down the handle and when you life it up you can hear a train, whistle and all, off in the distance. Still works great, 2 years later.

That's a cool mug. How'd you like the movie?

It was kinda weird, as I was so enthralled with the level of graphics that the movie was over before I even knew what was going on. It had that "wow" factor when they arrived at the north pole that is so necessary in a good Christmas movie. Santa Clause 1 had it as well. You wish you could close your eyes and wake up in the movie.

I would like to have seen it at the IMAX theater. I bet it would have been breath taking.
