Well kids, I start the new job tomorrow. I don't know what the computer situation is going to be, so I might not be around during the day anymore. :( :( :( :( :( :( :(

I am trying to get some last minute stuff done today, so I've been popping on and off when I can.

It feels good to be stuck in traffic every morning. Part of Americana. I wish you the best and hope you can sneak in a post or two.

The first two days have been orientation...you know - policies and procedures, benefits, meet the big boss, safety, customer service...stuff like that. Tomorrow is the first day I'll be at my actual job. I will be meeting my "buddy" or mentor at 8am (can you say YAWN???) so, I will be heading to bed shortly.

Thanks for all your thoughts, prayers and good wishes guys!

I'll let y'all know how it goes when I get home from work tomorrow evening. I always say it's a good day if I haven't smacked someone!!!

With standards like that, I haven't had a bad day since 1977 when I last smacked someone. 11th grade. Kid called me the N word. Me, as white as a bleached sheep at a klan meeting, and he looked me in the eye and called me that. Then he went and got stitches and I decided that didn't feel as good as I thought it would.

could have been worse, someone else would've beat him senseless, at the least
