The last choice doesn't make sense since we're talking about our house, not theirs. Nobody smokes in our home nor our cars and due to the wife's asthma, we generally don't go into homes where smoking occurs. Not worth the trip for a breathing treatment afterward.

last option is an "inside joke" with my family, we have some relatives when they visit sort of "take over" the house.

I don't think any of my family smokes anymore but if they did they'd have to take it outside.

My mom doesn't smoke, but she's a HUGE pushover when it comes to my aunt who smokes, she'll let her do it in the house "if it's too cold out"...it's to the point of ticking me off. If you smoke, fine- your lungs, your life...but I would like to live a long life without a hacking, mucusy cough, heart disease and cancer, so I say to my aunt, "You can kill yourself faster, but not me." I mean...the woman has had FOUR heart attacks already...you think after the second she'd put down the cigarette...

Yeah, but you didn't sign them up, so who's gonna see it? However, I see your point and raise you an eggnog.

Same here...will be 2 years Jan 26th.

I will let them smoke outside...I even supply butt cans but they are out by my shop. They better not even think about smoking on my porches or throw their butts on my ground. I have been known to ask people to pick them up.

My MIL smokes but outside only. Even at her own house. Her boyfriend would kill her if she smoked in the house or in front of him. She hides behind the gargage like a outlaw!
