Since my b-day is in July, I informed my family that as of this year I will no longer be celebrating it, instead we will be having a Christmas in July celebration. All gifts should be wrapped in Christmas paper... I wonder if they'll actually do it...?!? Maybe I'll even drag out the small tree... just to let them know i'm serious! heheh!!

I have these 2 gray stripes in my hair (mentally picture the bride of Frankenstein) and the other night I dreamed that the gray hair was really strands of silver tinsel, and the next day I came up with the idea of no more birthdays!
My dreams are weird!

That's an awesome idea. As I have grown old I have come to dread my birthday. But Christmas in July (well, October in my case) sounds like a ton of fun.
The gray hair thing...heck those were the good old days for me. I'm turning WHITE.

when I turned 40 my oldest turned 10. I was more depressed about him turning 10 than me turning 40! It doesn't bother me much. Probably because I don't look my age. My two younger brothers look older than me and I have no gray hairs. Although I wouldn't mind looking a little bit older. I am told that if I had few wrinkles around the eyes I would be a more convincing Santa. ;)

He is 14 now - that makes me 44... No wrinkles yet! Although I can't believe I haven't gotten them yet. At the risk of hijacking this thread...I am *really* struggling with 14. He is a great kid, but I am having a hard time with the "moodiness".

you ought to try daughters...the moodiness starts at 9 and ends...well, I think when they find Mr. Right.
Right now, my daughters are 21, 15, 11, 9...and my two angels are 7 and 5...

That is a great idea about your birthday. I have a daughter whose birthday is in December, and she loves having Christmas themed birthdays. My other daughter's birthday is in May so she never had a holiday themed birthday. I will have to mention it to her for next year. Thanks for the idea!
I can relate about the children. My daughters are 17 and 14, then I have a son that is 5 (He was my little surprise.). My oldest is nowhere near as moody as the 14 year-old. OMG! I will be so glad when she gets out of it.

I can relate to the moodiness..I have a 13 year old boy who is about to put me into a home. I also have a 5 year-old girl who is going on 15. She's just as moody as her brother. Can those two fight!! I also have an 11 year-old boy who just kinda sits back and watches everything.

You guys are scaring me!
I have only one kid, a 10 year old daughter, she's my best friend. Since her dad is always on the road, it's just me and her most of the time, and we hang out and do almost everything together. I don't want her to get all moody!!
Apparently I have alot to look forward to. :-?
