Where you going? If you're going.

Due to Kev's heavy work schedule, its going to be the end of September before we get away for anything more than a weekend. Then we've got a four seasons trailer (or caravan, as they call them here) booked in our favourite place in England - Portland in Dorset. Right on the southeast coast! I love being near the water and don't like living inland on either side of the Atlantic. We plan to move there permanently next Spring.

In the meantime, I'm hoping we can have a weekend in London for my birthday in July.

yes maam. been to merry olde england several times. have great friends that live in thames valley and in london and in cornwall (which is i think may be my most favourite place) and in surrey (maybe - suddenly cant think where she lives) and usually when i go visit i take a week and just cruise around on the train so i think ive seen most every part of england. friends in cornwall live in fowey. friends in thames valley live near marlowe. (i like to stay at this cool pub in high wycombe called the chequers inn) makes me feel all agatha christie-y. still havent had the time to hit scotland but that is for next trip!

We canceled our vacation plans. There is a new development going up and we are looking to get in there so we are saving up our money. We will do day trips to the shore. Our daughter has been bugging to go play on the beach.

We just got back from Panama City Beach , Florida. It was wonderful. I love the beach at sunset/night. That was my favorite. It was my 5 year-olds first time to go to the beach, so that made it even better.

I live about 30 minutes from DL, planning on going there around Halloween and Christmas with as many people as possible, we were discussing this last night, my mom and a couple of friends, I'd love to go when they put all the decorations up.

Also, I'm planning on going to the christmas boat show like we did last year, christmas eve is usually spent with my grandparents, brother, mom, uncles etc...And da_mn it I want to go to candy cane lane and WALK this up coming year.

But we'll see....there is usually more stuff planned

We took our first mini vacation over this past weekend. We left early Friday morning and drove up to Alton, Mo. AThen we got up early Saturday and floated the Eleven Point River. We normally do this float twice a year and now after being there once this year I am ready to go back. There was 18 of us this year and it's one big weekend of fun and sun and enjoying life.

We had a blast and got some much needed R & R.

I'm going to Indiana Beach from Aug 5-12. We go every year. It is in Monticello, IN. I also want to go to WDW in Dec. but we'll see!

www.indianabeach.com (http://www.indianabeach.com) <= here's the site for Indiana Beach. Don't worry it's not spam or that other junk!

Indiana beach is a great time! I'm going with the family down to South Dakota for the Sturgis bike rally August 6-12 and to visit and stay with the Mother-in-law in Rapid City and then I'm driving back home to Chicago to see my parents and then back here to North Dakota at the end of the month.

I visited England two years ago and I loved it. It was almost like deja vu, because I knew where places were with out ever having been there. Visited my cousin in Northampton, and learned alot about the family. Our next trip will be England and then on to Scotland. Probably in the next two years. I felt like I was home when I did visit. One of these visits or years we want to do Christmas in England. I can't wait.

I don't know if it is considered a vacation, but I'm going to Cedar Point for 2 days in August

It all depends on if you are going there for work purposes or just to get away. If it's to just get away, it's a mini vacation.

Everyone has such interesting vacation plans...I hope everyone has fantastic and safe journeys!

My Dh and I are planning a trip to Gettysburg, PA during September. While there, we'll make side trips to the battlefield at Antietam, Harper's Ferry and to Washington D.C. I'm such a U.S. History buff that this will be like a dream vacation for me and, since Gettysburg is lousy with ghost hunts, my DH will be happy too.

I just have to keep my fingers crossed that my father-in-law (who is terminally ill with a rare form of leukemia) :( holds his own so that we can go. If not, we'll have to postpone until next year.
