Christmas Notebook on computer

I have decided I will do my Christmas notebook on my computer this year. I have done it in a little notebook the last year, and I am wondering if it is a good idea to do it all electronically. I know I lose the ability to adjust things on the spot if the computer is off.
I wonder if anyone has any tips or opinions on transitioning to it all on computer.

Do you mean a notebook of where you packed everything and have it all catologed?

I have a spread sheet I use it is excel, I love it - everything is on this list and I can start my Christmas plan in Sept because I did this, I think I can post it for you.

If you want a great 'to do' type thing, then checkout: http://www.6wunderkinder.com/wunderlist/ It's a great free app for computers and all smart phones/tablets. I use it for all my rememberising! The best thing is that it 'syncs' across all your gadgets, so if you make a shopping list on your computer, you can have the app on your phone and when you're in the shop the list appear on your phone!!!
