Hi eveyone,

My name is Cristina, and I'm glad to be here. I've been lurking reading the forum, and getting myself all infused with the Christmas spirit that I feel here.

Simply put, I love Christmas. I'm from New York, and Christmas here is magical. From The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade to the lighting of the giant tree at Rockefeller center and the Giant Unicef Snow Flake, to the awesome store decorations everywhere, New York is transformed during Christmas and so are its residents.

I just launched a Christmas blog a little over a week ago,
and I'm now waiting for it to be included in the Merry Network.

It's so good to be around people who see in Christmas much more than the commercial gift giving day so many make it to be.

Feliz Navidad!

Cris

:welcome:Seasun!! It is my ultimate dream to one day go to New York City between Thanksgiving and New Years. My anniversary is December 29th and am really hoping my hubby surprises me with a trip to NYC!!!!! I made one of his life dreams come true last year on our 15 year anniversary, so let's see if he comes through for me!!

Officepro4u, that would be a dream vacation, and I hope your wish comes true soon.

I have spent Christmas in other places, but I don't think anywhere can match the beauty, and exuberance displayed in New York during the Holidays.

There are lots, and lots of Santa's all over the place ringing their bells all over the place. Everywhere you go, you can hear Christmas music streaming from public places. There's the aroma from sidewalk vendors roasting fresh chestnuts, and pretzels, and then, there are lights galore; lights, lights
everywhere.

But the most awesome thing to me is the way New Yorkers transform during the holidays.

New York will always be a busy city, but during the Holidays, everybody seems to become so much more tolerant and patient, and people are just nice, and warm toward to each other.

Oh boy, I can hardly wait to see New York transform itself into a magical Christmas wonderland once again.

New York during the holidays sounds absolutely wonderful! Some day maybe I'll get to experience that...but right now I can't think of anyplace I'd rather be during the holiday season than right here at home! You'll have to share some pictures!!
