I'll be cooking a quiet dinner for the two of us. They bend Bob's wedding band when they removed it in the hospital, so as he's gift I'll get him a new one to replace it , if I can afford it. I am looking at different ones.

Nothing!!! I'm not a huge follower of Valentine's Day. I guess it's because I'm fortunate enough to be spoiled all year round (I know - pass the sick bucket!!!!)

Ill just treat my gf, along with my family to a good restaurant. Buy my gf some roses and some gift checks of beauty shops she likes... plus some chocolates of course.

My wife and I are going to see a concert that night...somebody she really loves. We don't have very good seats but at least we'll be there. She told me once to "stop giving me all these flowers" because they die so quickly...she'd much rather have some flowering plants in the summer that will flower all summer long than some cut flowers that will wilt in a few days.
She's a good egg, that Mrs. JayIsh...I really got the better end of this deal...I just hope I never have to tell her that I'm really not the lead singer of Aerosmith...

I will plan a very romantic evening for my dear hubby. He takes such good care of me and I like to take care of him and not just on Valentine's Day.
I love flowers, I want them now when I can enjoy them, not when I'm gone. So he usually gets me flowers, LOL, he knows they always fit.

I'm going to jump in the lake for Special Olympics. This will be my 5th year doing this crazy thing. The last couple of years we have raised almost $20K and have sent a couple of our Special Olympians to Japan to compete. We also raffle off a motorcycle and trailer for Special Olympics. The first year we had to cut ice to do the plunge. All the other years there wasn't any ice or snow. At least I get a sweatshirt out of it if I give them $100.00 and the satisfaction of doing something for the kids I teach.

That's a very special way to celebrate Valentine's Day, they do it here too. I love watching them jump into the frozen lake. My sister is a member of the Special Olympics, so I know how much this means to everyone involved.

Kuddos to you...thats awesome! Exactly how cold is that water you will be jumping into?
I got 3 plans...we'll see if any of the 3 happen.
1.) See if I can hook up with that hot troll from the chatroom.
2.) Send flowers to my 2007 crush who barely knew I existed to her office.
3.) Try to win over Annette.

She thought that was great what you are doing on Valentines Day to help raise money. I found this picture for you.

Since Valentine's Day is on a weekday, we'll probably not do much on the actual day but we will probably have a nice romantic date the weekend afterward. Maybe dinner and a movie or something. Who knows?

or boyfriend or significant other :-?
So, instead I will celebrate the love I share with my 3 wonderful kids who are now wonderful adults, all doing fine thank you. We will have a nice cake, decorate the house, give each other a nice little "I love you" card and gift and be thankful we have each other.

I baked heart shaped cut out sugar cookies last night & iced them...some pink, some white, some white w/ red sprinkles & some pink w/ cinnamon sprinkles. I'll bring some to my parents, and I'll bring a plate full to a couple friends & of course I'll save some for my hubby. But just for my hubby I'm going to make a strawberry cake in my heart shaped cake pan. I was going to make a nice meal, but then I remembered I won't be home on Valentines night & neither will my hubby ~ we sponsor a bowling bash every year & it is this Saturday, so I'll be at my friends house cutting meat & cheese & making jello shots & my hubby has to bowl that night. Romantic, huh? HA!! :snowball: Last night I made a dump cake in that heart pan, so we have to eat it all before Valentines day so I can use the pan to make a cake. Oh darn!

We are planning on something but nothing big. We have a gift card to a local restaurant. We're going to to that....just because! Isn't that the best reason of all?
