ooh, man...couldn't you see that that was just one of those questions you just don't answer? Kinda like...do you still beat your wife? Hopefully, she won't see your answer.

What a beautiful story, to be blessed with that special love. Now a days everyone is so fast to give up when things get rough.
Love the story, thanks for sharing it with us Jeff.

Which one? the one about the couple married 75 years or the one with the drunk margarita filled wife smacking dvdguy?
I find both touching in their own way.

Oh my goodness..how touching. These two people were probably an inspiration to many people. Great read! After reading this little tid bit it really reminds me of the book I just read The Wednesday Letters.

lovely story, it's great to know true love still exists, people seem to get divorced quite easily these days which is a shame.

I agree that was a good story and they were married on Christmas Day. That's another part of the story I liked.
And about the Margarita lady - never mind I'll P.M. you with what I'm thinking.
HaHa. The rest will simply have to imagine.

I imagine outliving all their kids was painful though. What a great testament to the power of love. Hopefully they're all together again catching up on old times.

What a sweet, sweet story. That's exactly how I hope Dh and I will go. At the same time after a long, loving life together.

Coming into this a bit late, but you'd be surprised how often this happens. I personally have registered the deaths of 3 separate old couples who have died within about 24 - 48 hours of each other. The families were completely shell-shocked but all of them agreed that it was a lovely way for their parents to go as the survivor couldn't have lived without their life partner
