Santa has diverted to Miami in the past hour, just skirting the east coast of the United States. From Camp David, secret service agents confirm that Santa has visited with the holiday-celebrating Bush family. Santa has visited every US president in history, dating all the way back to George Washington.
Rumors ran rampant for a while that George Washington got Santa to try his famously strong eggnog one Christmas. George Washington was known for his lavish celebration of Christmas and he particular eggnog concoction. Santa says the story isn't true but he does remember visiting Mount Vernon those many years ago.
Santa reports that the damage he sees from the air from Hurricane Wilma is still heartbreaking. He is bracing himself for what he will see once he gets to the areas where Hurricane Katrina did her damage.
