"Black Christmas" (that teen slasher flick)...really...who wants to see people getting brutally murdered at Christmastime?

I was also going to say "Jingle All the Way" but I'm guilty of watching that more than once or twice...Phil Hartman is in it.

I've never seen the Nightmare Before Christmas, I don't even know if it's about Christmas, but I hate the word nightmare associated with Christmas.

I really haven't seen a bad Christmas movie. I guess I won't watch any movie that either runs down or portrays Christmas in an extremely negative way.

Id have to say...Christmas Vacation 2. It was OK but it missed what the original had. It was pretty bad....(even though I do have it on dvd)....heh

I have only seen bits & pieces of Nightmare Before Christmas, so maybe I'm a little quick to judge, but it just didn't do anything for me...and I don't like the name! MAYBE I'll try to watch the whole thing sometime...

I'd have to say "The Chrismas That Almost Wasn't". I thought it was horrible at best...I mentioned this once before and someone begged me to give it another chance, which I did and hated it more!!! Sorry if I've offended any fans of this movie but sheesh, what a stinker...:-?

Bad Santa-filthy. My adult kids think it was hilarious-I was sickened just hearing it from the other room. Must be a BIG generation gap!

I know I am in the minority on this but I watched "It's a Wonderful Life" once about 30 years ago and never want to see it again. Give me "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians" anytime over "It's a Wonderful Life".

Hmmm...that's a tough one but I'd have to say that I'm definitely not a fan of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" or any of the slasher films that were set during Christmas. Oh, and definitely the Christmas Vacation sequels...blech!

Anything where someone is ill or someone is dying or someone dies or the dog gets run over or..........I think you get the general idea.

I don't like hearing about these things in real life but don't seem to be able to avoid them, wherever you go to try and escape. The movies and TV are my choice and I choose not to watch anything that makes me want to slit my wrists.

Happy, Happy, Happy - that's what Christmas means to me not "let's watch this little kid cry his eyes out because his mother, father, grandparent, dog has just carked it but it's okay because there's some snow and a Christmas tree in the background"

That's not fun - that's depressing

Black Christmas was bad..funny thing is the Director of that directed one of my all time favs " A Christmas Story"

IMHO - Santa Clause Conquers the Martians should be seen by everyone. It is a quite interesting story. Martian children are watching too much Earth TV. They are facinated with Santa. The King and Mom martian got to their "shaman" and he suggests that they need their own Santa. So, being robotic martians, they just kidnap the real Santa. Lots of shinannagans happen and they finally find their "own" Santa. The special effects are FANTASTIC....NOT. It is a must see.

Nightmare Before Christmas - get's my vote for the worst. I've refused to watch Bad Santa, the commercials were bad enough for me.

I started watching one last year, I can't remember what it was, it had Mary Steenbergen (sp?) in it, they were broke, couldn't afford Christmas, then her husband was shot in a bank robbery and the robber took off in his car with their 2 kids, and there was some angel dude that looked like a drunk bum. I think that's the first Christmas movie I have ever not finished watching, the story line was depressing and the acting really cheesey!

The film you talk about is called, 'One Magic Christmas'. I generally like this film, because despite the 'depressing' storyline as you put it, the Angel is finding a way for the mother to believe in the spirit of Christmas again. The events that took place in the film, such as the husband getting shot, never really happened. I know it was a harsh way for the Angel to have her believing again, but the best part for me was when the little girl, Abbie gives the mother a letter from Santa Claus which she had written as a young girl. That was 'Magic' for me. I remember this fondly from my childhood as I do Santa Claus The Movie, it was because they were always on. The one film I want but cannot find anywhere, not even ebay is 'Babes in Toyland' featuring Keanu Reeves. Anyone remember this?

One Magic Christmas is one of my fave made for tv Christmas movies. You are right, it is depressing at first but it really makes ya feel the spirit at the end.

I've seen Babes in Toyland on tv during the season but I cant say I've seen it out for purchase anywhere.

And I will probably get boo'd for saying this but I cannot stand "Elf". I guess maybe its because I cannot stand to watch anything with Will Ferrell in it anyway. And I have yet to sit all the way thru "The Grinch". Again, not a huge fan of Jim Carrey either.

I have not seen Bad Santa. Neither have I seen the Nightmare Before Christmas...just not my thing at all.

My least favorite is one that just has a stupid script and really lame ending, however is would be fun for kids to watch. My nomination is "The 12 Dogs of Christmas."

deck the halls, christmas with the kranks, fred claus & im willing to bet the upcoming four christmases as well, are part of a trend of new christmas movies that are just kinda goofy.

I think with the way Elf worked, everybody else is trying to make a movie like that. Unfortunately the results are lacking

I agree, alot of the Christmas movies of the past several years have all been just plain silly. We still just stick to most of the old movies that make us laugh still today. On the more serious side one of my favorite movies is A Christmas Carol by George C. Scott.

right now these kind of "comedies" are in. Guys like ferrel & ben stiller & vince vaughn are what the studios are banking on. none of the major studios are going to try anything different, until someone has a success totally by surprise & then they will all copy that

I don't like "the nightmare before christmas", I hate to see it advertised.

I like movies that show the meaning of Christmas, giving and sowing into people's lives and "It's a Wonderful Life" is a wonderful example of giving and sowing and reaping what we sow.

Everytime I watch a movie over again, I see and find new insights that show people's spirit and love.
