Right now I haven't been totally in a Christmas mood, but once it is 95º & so humid you don't want to be outside I start watching Christmas movies, listening to Christmas music & lighting Christmas scented candles. :hello:

for the perfect gift for each person on my list. I also enjoy the movies and listening to the music when baking.
I will have to be a lot more organized this year as I am going to school (upgrading math and english) as are my 2 girls (in college).

I definitely shop in the summer. I can find some fantastic deals through the year that really saves on my Christmas budget in December!! I will also pop in the occasional Christmas movie or listen to come Christmas music through the year as well. Sometimes, you just need a little Christmas, even if it is 95° in the shade!

I plan. I search for terrific gift bargains. I try to organize the rest of life, to free up more time when the rest of the world joins us in celebrating. I am going to start working on the calendar. There is one terrific Christmas event in November - I want to get it on my calendar. That makes me think about how the days will go in November and December.

I am ashamed to say that I don't really do anything. I watch Christmas in July on QVC and visit the boards...but that's it. I feel bad! :(

I mostly plan, but I also do a little of all of the above! Except lights...I hate dealing with them, so I don't usually mess with them in the summer, unless I decide I want to drag out a string each of red, white and blue for the patriotic holidays. Then I mess with them! I love the planning, though. I've mentioned before on MHH that sitting on the back porch watching the kids swim with my stack of Gooseberry Patch Christmas books and my laptop is one of my favorite things to do!!

ReineV -- why should you feel bad about not doing anything in the summer for Christmas? (Aside from that huge, free-floating cloud of guilt that smothers all of us!) You know that 99.999% of the world does not do anything for Christmas during the summer. If we watch movies or THINK about Christmas, or read the boards -- then we are SUPER-CHAMPS!
That said, I am going to TRY to accomplish something for Christmas this Memorial Day Weekend! But if I don't accomplish anything..... I am going to TRY really hard to not beat myself up! :tree:

Mainly I just listen to music and probably from late November to early December that's when I start bringing down the 2 Christmas banners for my window and then the Christmas lights to make sure they all work plus the Christmas tree and lovely decorations :D... I do like putting the Christmas tree really early (preferably 1st Dec). :treeguy:

I usually start a major craft project (mostly cross-stitch) and of course there are all the Christmas sites to visit too.
Yeah, there's plenty of Christmas sites, I agree... hard to find classic Christmas music though... :-?

When DH's grandmother downsized her stuff to move in with her daughter, I inherited some cookbooks that have some holiday recipes so I might try some of those out. Also, I bought some icicle crafts for my daughter to help me with so we'll probably do those. Keep an eye out for holiday sales at Hobby Lobby and get my Christmas book and decorations in order. Those are my goals...hope they're not too ambitious!

This summer, I have been finding and buying Christmas cards. That's not easy to do. I did find one store closing out and they actually had cards with bears on them at a very cheap price. I do not know why I didn't buy them after Christmas like I usually do. I WILL remember to do it next year!!!

I'm watching for the Summer sales and have already put some things back for gifts. I've planned my Christmas goodies, too, and will be trying out some new recipes to see how well they freeze.
And of course I have to have the Christmas carols on while I'm cross stitching gifts! :gift:

Well...
I watch Christmas movies all the time in the summer. I think they make it seem like its just around the corner.
Also, sometimes when my mom and I go to the mall, if we see something about Christmas/for someone we'll get it. Like the other day we were at Limited Too, doing some early back to school shopping, and we found this gorgeous dress, and we decided it was my Christmas outfit.
Plus I have Christmas songs on my iPod that I listen to in the summer. I also look up ideas for gifts I can make and different cookie recipes.

I like listening to Christmas music and watchinc Christmas movies during the summer. We also often have Annabelle's wish playing, since DS loves watching all the animals and "Santi" as he calls the big jolly guy. Plus, I start thinking of Christmas presents around May, so Christmas is pretty much always on my mind.

I like to shop, save, craft for Christmas as well as watch a movie.
I usually just start my gift shopping but this year will be the first that I celebrate Christmas in July. I have an evening planned with my boyfriend. I'm going to cook a traditional holiday dinner with all the trimmings. I even plan to decorate a little with a small table top tree and a few lights. Over at MHH we're celebrating the entire month with crafts, recipes and more.
