1) All I want for xmas is you - i sung this so much when i was young about a certain person!
2) The Fairytale of New York - Its a classic xmas song, and it makes me laugh everytime!
3) Once in royal david city - a proper xmas song, about god and the true meaning of the season!
4) Merry Xmas Everyone (war is over) - you just have to love this one!
5) Let it snow - cant tell ya why just love it!

:tree:

you know what? i think i love EVERY Christmas song!! ....... haha!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful,
But the fire is so delightful,
And since we’ve no place to go,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

It doesn’t show signs of stopping,
And I brought some corn for popping;
The lights are turned way down low,
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.
When we finally say good night,
How I’ll hate going out in the storm;
But if you really hold me tight,
All the way home I’ll be warm.
The fire is slowly dying,
And, my dear, we’re still good-bye-ing,
But as long as you love me so.
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

:snowball:

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas
Just like the ones I used to know
Where the treetops glisten,
and children listen
To hear sleigh bells in the snow

Dashing through the snow
In a one horse open sleigh
O’er the fields we go
Laughing all the way
Bells on bob tails ring
Making spirits bright
What fun it is to laugh and sing
A sleighing song tonight

Silent night, holy night!
All is calm, All is bright
Round yon Virgin, Mother and Child
Holy Infant so Tender and mild,
Sleep in heavenly peace,
Sleep in heavenly peace.

Christmas is coming,
The geese are getting fat,
Please put a penny
In the old man’s hat.
If you haven’t got a penny,
A ha’penny will do,
If you haven’t got a ha’penny,
Then God bless you.

Deck the halls with boughs of holly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la
‘Tis the season to be jolly
Fa-la-la-la-la, la-la-la-la

I really can’t stay - Baby it’s cold outside
I’ve got to go away - Baby it’s cold outside
This evening has been - Been hoping that you’d drop in
So very nice - I’ll hold your hands, they’re just like ice

I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don’t care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true …
All I want for Christmas
Is you …

Twelve Days of Christmas - A Cat’s Rendition
On the twelfth day of Christmas my human gave to me:
Twelve bags of catnip!
Eleven tarter Pounce treats,
Ten ornaments hanging,
Nine wads of Kleenex,
Eight peacock feathers,
Seven stolen Q-tips,
Six feathered balls,
Five milk jug rings,
Four munchy house plants,
Three running rabbits,
Two fuzzy mousies,
And a hamste-e-er in a plastic ball!!

I heard the bells on Christmas Day
Their old, familiar carols play,
And wild and sweet
The words repeat
Of peace on earth, good-will to men!

What do snowmen eat for breakfast?
Frosted flakes!

What does a cat on the beach have in common with Christmas?
Sandy claws!

Why did the snowman have a smile on his face ?
Because the snowblower was coming down the block.

Christmas Song (Chestnuts roasting)....Nat King Cole....he owns this song...just like Bing owns White Christmas.....the song is not religious, but gives me chills and the Christmas feeling that I love so much....I can smell the Chestnuts when he sings bout the

Ihr Kinderlein Kommet - sung by different people (German Weihnachtslied)....I loved it as a child....just because it contained the word Kinderlein (children) and I thought they are calling me and the other little people to come and see the Jesusbaby.

Jesus Born On This Day - Mariah Carey....I´m no Carey Fan....far from it...but song hits the reason for the season, is sung great and has great music behind it

Stille Nacht/Silent - no matter who sings it....it´s very beautifull and gives me chills everytime I hear it...true Christmas Song

Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer - I always loved it....but since my daughter is born...I love it even more because it makes her so happy...and carries the song and movie brings across a great story

they all mean so much to me for different reasons, but once stands out in particular:

fairytale of new york - the pogues and kirsty macoll.

to me, it represents what life can be like, in parts of the song they are drinking in the pub and having fun, in other parts they are reminising about how they first met and how exciting life was and sadly, in the song, they are talking about how life never ended up how they imagined. there is one line in particular that gets me - shane mcgowan sings "i could have been someone.." and kirsty macoll sings back to him "well so could anyone"

it also represents hope to me in the line "the boys of the NYPD choir were singing galway bay, and the bells were ringing out for christmas day"

i just love it.
