Okay another life saver part of my notebook is my Christmas Card List....in this section I have the names and addresses of everyone I send cards to. There is a place on the form to mark three years in a row...whether you sent a card or received a card. After Christmas...I take the envelops from the cards I recieve and update any addresses that need it.
So let's get organized now....I have made so many chages on the addresses I am going to print new sheets and get them in the notebook for this year!
How do you keep track of your card list and addresses???

Here's a link to a printable card list good for 2008-2010...

Some people have trouble printing these and can't get the right size. What I do is click on the printable link and then when the window pops up I copy and paste the image into word and then I resize it as large as I want or need.

Okay here are some additional thoughts about cards and card lists.
1. Update your addresses EVERY January using the envelopes from the cards you receive.
2. If you make cards....plan to do them during Christmas in July
3. Address envelopes EARLY...maybe even as early as July..this is a Major time saver when the season is upon you...one less thing to worry about!
4. If you use storebought cards and want to add a little something extra...design and include a "calling card"...those little business like cards that people gave out in....ummmm....I think the Victorian era...your name, address, a special little saying, and picture or embellishment. Tuck your calling card inside the Christmas card and viola...something "special and unique"

:tree:Ginger, I love the idea of using a "calling card". You always have such great ideas. I am craft challenged and therefore use store bought cards.
I keep my addresses in my holiday binder. Whenever I get a card or invitation in the mail I place the envelopes in the book and later when I have more time I go through and make the necessary changes.

Thanks for the info about copy and resizing in Word. I wouldn't have thought of that. I would have just printed it as is.

Yes, when a Christmas card is opened, I place the envelope in a basket, and then make sure all my addresses are up to date.
I keep them all on the puter in my labels file. (I only print out labels if I handmade the cards and then use a plastic see through envelope. Other than that, I like to personally address each envelope.)
My cards are usually addressed and stamped by November and if I am making hand made cards that year, I have them started in August. This year I am not making cards as I found the cutest cards at the end of Christmas last year and am using them this year.
I keep an extra box of cards for cards that I may recieve from someone new, so I can get it sent out right away before Christmas.
Oh and I have a special pen believe it or not that is only for signing and addressing Christmas cards.
