While working to install video capability over the long Memorial Day weekend I received an email from a friend of mine about the site.

"Will you stop already?" she wrote. "You're like a possessed mad-man with all this stuff. Am I going to be able to check my bank account on MMC next?"

Hmmmm. There's a thought.

Ok, so I'm laying it on a little thick here.

But honestly, folks. Can we really have too much Christmas here?

The video thing is a hoot to me. Yeah, I know, it has the potential for trouble. And we'll have to do a job to keep an eye on things.

But in working to get some videos posted just so that folks get the general idea about the video capabilities of MMC I've had the best time.

And dang if it hasn't put me in the mood for Christmas.

Media can do that to us, you know. Seeing an original theatrical trailer for A Christmas Story or even watching Mr. Bean fumble with a Nativity scene is enough to put me in the mood for Christmas.

Check out the videos -- then add your favorites. I cannot wait to see what taste of Christmas culture finds its way to our merry pages here as our members put up links to videos of music, movies, television and even their own Christmas lights.

I've been delighted with all the changes so far. Yes, I know it makes all this a lot more complex and less simple than what we had before.

But, you know, it takes a lot of different lights to make a Christmas tree brilliant.

And I think we're bordering on brilliancy here these days.

If I do say so myself.
