Welcome to our newest member, HVEKU
My name is Ron, I am a Christmas nut always have been always will be. I am first and foremost a stay at home dad that has an evening job at a retail/grocery establishment. After my second son was born I stepped down from my management position, so my wife and I don't have to pay for daycare. My wife is a teacher in the town we live, so people recognize us everywhere in our little town.
My wife and I have been married for 9 years. We have 2 boys aged 6 and 3, both are young Christmas nuts.

I have loved Christmas as long as I remember
from seeing the lights on all the houses, to seeing if I could stay awake to see Santa.
Christmas has been the one constant in my life it has always been there for me, through the rough times of my parents divorce when I was 10 y/o or my mother's passing when I was 16.
Everyone always tried to make it something special for myself and sister when we were young no matter what was going on. I now believe that is why I love this time of year more than any other because of the efforts of my family to hold it above any other time of year. I get to make the season special for my boys now, whether it be by playing the music decorating the house and yard or just playing the dvd's. The memories the season has brought have always warm and it is no wonder why I look forward to making more of these memories every year. My favorite Christmas movie is A Christmas Story my favorite Christmas song is O Holy Night. My favorite Christmas artist is Bing Crosby.
Well if I ran on a little bit I am sorry I am new to blogging, it sounds always better in your mind.
I will try to keep posting and making it interesting for all who read.

My boy LC has really started talking quite a bit lately, he just seems to have put it in overdrive since his brother has gone to school. His brother always seemed to talk for him and he never had a reason to say much, even to the point where we couldn't understand what LC was saying we would ask JP and he knows exactly what he said. We thought LC was a late talker considering, his brother was talking by nine months, and was saying complete sentences by 13 months. LC was not saying more than 3 words as late as December 2009 when he was 21 months old, his doctor wasn't concerned he would just say the second child always takes longer, but we were still nervous. After Christmas last year the words started flowing and he was doing a good job practicing his words, through the winter, spring, and summer he learned more and more words and sentences and lately has started asking questions. Which brings me to the point of this entry, the things that have come out of his mouth are sometimes hilarious.
1. "I fall on my head" it may not sound funny but the circumstances and the "had to be there" moment. I was getting the newspaper and he was following me and he tripped over the hose and went heels over head, he got right up looked at me rubbed his head and said that. He was fine just ticked off that he spilled his crackers.
2. "I not eat flies, they yucky"-His brother was teasing him about flies, mainly because LC is afraid of flies, and he was talking about eating and JP said we are going to have flies for dinner, and that is when he made the yucky comment. My wife and I looked at each other and laughed our butts off.
3. "I wanna see Halloween decorations" he actually said it as we were leaving his doctor's office and he was crying because he wanted to leave and that is what he said so I took him to the CVS down the road and helped ease his pain.
4. "You eat it" any time he gets somthing he doesn't like
5. "I wanna see Fwosty" his favorite Christmas character whenever he wants to watch it, but he lost the DVD this past weekend.
6. "What's dat?" anytime he tries to get under your skin he will just ask you that same question over and over.
7. "Juju do it" when he tries to get big bro in trouble.
He is sometimes the cutest thing when he says things you don't expect, everyday is something new with him. I am cherishing these moments with him, I unfortunately didn't get time like this with JP at 2 years old because I was working a lot more at that time, but we had plenty of other moments of fun and laughter. A new day awaits maybe he will say something new tomorrow .
