    Reflections on a Journey

I enjoyed reading this blog entry. I take seasonal journeys as often as possible. Since I was a child and old enough and careful enough, I was permitted (age of seven) to go as far as the polywog pond (now a residential neighbourhood) to check out the wildlife. My parents knew I'd never jump into the water or anything, but they encouraged me to take a buddy with me. Usually that buddy was my dog Ragmop. I miss that quiet retreat. It was only six blocks from my home and none of the streets I had to cross experienced heavy traffic. I still hop on my mountain bike or take long walks or go hiking in the woods. I feel fortunate that with the growth of my city, there are still numerous pockets of nature spots, three lakes and two bays that you can swim in without worry.
    I'm enjoying my journey.
