Snow is falling... 11-01-2008 06:14 AM

Snow!

No pics, I'm afraid :(

Anyway, first pre-Halloween snow in Ireland I can remember. Only a flurry, and didn't really stick, but it's snow! :)

Yayyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!

We had out first snow flurry here in Tennessee about a week ago. Like you said, it didn't stick, but it was snow none the less.

We had a severe hailstorm the evening before it snowed. I read in the paper the next day that there were hail stone drifts of up to 5ft!

Oh wow! I don't think that I've ever seen it hail that deep! I've seen it just coat the ground and that's all.

Yeah, neither have I! At our house it just covered the drive and then melted slowly.

Just checked up: the drifts happened in England, across the sea from my house. Have a look! http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-sto...5875-20855984/

Cars were buried under freak hailstone drifts six-feet deep yesterday after a storm left a small town looking like Alaska.

Twenty-five people had to be airlifted or rescued by boat after five solid hours of hail and rain.

Those first snowfalls are always magical. We haven't gotten ours yet...in fact, it's a bit unseasonably warm right now.

snowberry (who thanks Jesus for snow)
