Post a Pic of Your Dream House!

I'm thanking God for the home I have right now. It's an perfect starter home for my small family, but eventually, we will need more space because we're going to definitely have more than one child and we want a place relatives can sleep when they come visit too! So my dream house (that I can not afford just yet, lol) would probably be a beautiful rustic home that is probably nearly a hundred years old, but has been completely updated, while maintaining the historical integrity of the structure. There's a giant kitchen, because that's the room where my family ALWAYS congregates and a big stone fireplace with a hand carved wooden mantle that's perfect for hanging stockings. There's a big great room with huuuuuge vaulted ceilings high enough for even the tallest Christmas tree! There's 6 bedrooms and 5.5 bathrooms.

Tell me about your dream house!

Long time dream, it's called a Single House - one room wide, two rooms deep, two piazzas to catch the seabreeze, front door enters piazza...Simple and Perfect!

Cool!

It's funny how things change. I once had thought exactly like yours Reine. But it has changed because life experience has taught me more of what I want. Here is my latest version:

In the woods with God's backyard (no mowing, no weeding, etc) -- single level, lake views, log-cabin exterior, small master suite with large bathroom, cozy office, fireplaces aplenty, HUGE kitchen and dining area, just ONE guest bedroom, a dedicated library/hometheater and a large family room. That's it.

Very nice! I am a porch man and have always enjoyed homes with extended porches and balconies. Nice homes, both!

Thank you Shane!

My dream home is something simple and modest.Roomy yet not too big.Warm and cozy.

I too love porches. A place where you can set in your rocker and enjoy God's country. A place where you can set in the shade ,drinking lemonade on a hot summer day or set of an evening listening to the creature's of the night.

My uncle remodeled a home in Indiana from the ground home . The inside was open concept with a spiral staircase and outside the porch wrapped all the way around. After he passed away my aunt sold the house . It broke my heart as I loved that house so much.

I sure it did break her heart, I can only imagine.

The house that I speak of that my uncle rebuilt from the ground up was an old house where druggies and drunk's had lived . It was filled with trash and junk. Just a living nightmare .You would of never in a million year's guessed it was the same place after he finished with it.
