Has anyone been to the Christmas Carol Train Tour?

The CC Train Tour is coming to St. Louis this weekend and I have Saturday off of work. I would loooooooove to go to it, but I wanted to see if anyone has been and what the experience was like.

My sister is a big Disney nut and she said that people on her Disney forums have gone and all they talked about was how ridiculous the long lines were. I have a 2 year old, so if the lines are really going to be that long, I'm not sure I'll be able to keep her interested/contained.

Anyone have any feedback for me?

It hasnt come to our area yet! That sucks about long lines and I know how it feels to have a 2 year old cheesy. The train wont be in our area until sometime in September and I will have a few week old baby by then also...so I know that we wont be making it..as much as I would like to go!

I never been on it. Sounds fun tho but not sure I like the long lines.

I would love to go and see it. Unfortunately I was not paying attention and only just heard about it. Plus, they seem to have forgotten us here in Canada as the train is not once crossing the border. :-?
The closest stop to me is in Detroit, on my birthday even! (is that cool or what!) If I can work it out, I would definitely go.

We were talking about that last night!

It's supposed to come to Savannah in October. Maybe it'll be cooler by then, and easier to get into the spriit.

I'm looking forward to it as much as the kids. LOL

I was going to go b/c I am a HUGE Disney fanatic and buff! But I didn't get a chance to. The lines are long no matter when you go. If you are planning on going plan on standing in line for 2+ hours.

sounds like they where unprepared for it to be so popular. They should hand out tickets when the train arrives, and then have people return at the time set aside for them so they would not have to wait so long.

Thanks for the input Hoosier! We decided to go ahead and try to go tomorrow, b/c I have been waiting (not so patiently) for this since May. I'm too excited to not even try.

We are going to head down there first thing in the morning and try to get there about 30 min. before it opens. Hopefully that will help in getting there before the big rushes of people.

I'll take my camera and bring back a full report for you guys!
