Eggnog French Toast

My dad turned me on to making french toast with eggnog, and I can never eat it without now. Unfortunately I have to wait until they start to sell eggnog again to make it. Its awesome!

Some stores sell canned eggnog by Borden sold on the shelf year round. I am not sure if there might be a store near you that has it. I have never tried it but I am sure if it's by Borden it would be good.

There is a link on the Borden website to locate a store near you that carries it:

Good luck! cheesy

I'm not big on egg nog, but that sure does sound delicious!

How do you make it?
for French toast, I normally take an egg, beat it, dip bread in egg and then fry it in oil. It is sooo fattening I only make it once or twice a year!

I'll have to try the egg nog french toast idea. Luckily, they begin selling Eggnog these days even before halloween.

Forget the egg-beating, you just dredge the bread thru some egg nog and fry it like you would normal french toast. No mess, no defenseless eggs to beat, just good tasting french toast...

Oh and as far as fattening goes, I'm sure it is. What would the Holidays be without the fattening?!

Where I live, they have different flavors of eggnog, like vanilla and sugar cookie---those could make a very interesting spin on French toast, topped with a little sprinkle of powdered sugar ...

Well, I'm going to have to try this when eggnog comes out in stores!!
Wonder if you could use eggnog to make pancakes!! hahaha
Oh the possibilities!!! cheesy

I agree that it would be easier to just use eggnog. Because when i look at what I add to it, its essentially the same as eggnog. Here is my french toast recipe:

Scramble an Egg. Add some milk, cinnamon, a dash of vanilla flavoring, and little sprinkle of sugar. Mix together well. I use a non-stick pan..add a little Butter and fry until a little crisp outside and moist inside. I serve with a tiny pat of butter on top and syrup or powder sugar. I am sure it is very fattening, especially with all the stuff I add to it. But it is yummy!!!
