It's "not so Great" Pumpkin this year, Charlie Brown...

Just found out that the classic "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!" is airing on the evening of October 31st this year. Yeah, because my kids don't have anything else going on that evening. :-?

It's a family tradition to try and watch that every year. Way to go ABC Network...The theory I'm hearing is that it's due to election coverage eating up a lot of October evenings this year (i.e. the debates, etc), but really, you couldn't find a better time slot? Also, it appears they're only airing "It's the Great Pumpkin", but not "You're Not Elected, Charlie Brown"...usually they air them as a 1 hour special on the same evening...the one year they fail to play it, and it's actually an election year?!?

that is to bad, maybe you could record it for when you get home?

I have not checked to see what time it is on here.

That is one reason why I bought it. It seems like they always air specials at an inconvenient time or day.

I did find where you can watch the full show online.

It's the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown

I hope that helps! cheesy

I just bought the Peanuts holiday collection on blu-ray. They have it on DVD as well. But it includes It's a Great Pumpkin, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and A Charlie Brown Christmas. Plus bonus holiday episodes. Attachment 1425

Bummer! - Glad I have it on "VHS". <--- Yes, I still live in the stone age.
(I'll get it on DVD, eventually.)

My copy is on VHS too! I keep saying I will buy it on DVD one day but the video works just fine so it will do for now. =)

That's why I own every holiday special imaginable on DVD. I can justify buying them because it's really one thing I WILL watch every single year again and again...unlike most of my movie collection.
