Petition to Make Half Christmas a Holiday Sent to the White House

I don't know about y'all but I wish folks would settle down about this and let us Christmas lovers have Leon Day to ourselves!

Now we'll have to hear the bellyachers and whiners! Good Grief! Isn't hearing them run their soup coolers during the season enough!?

It's so close to another federal holiday (Independence Day) that I doubt the government would seriously consider it. The government also prefers to make holidays on a Monday, so the date would not always be June 25th.

And like RJD says, it would unfortunately be another target for haters.

I respect their grit for giving it a try against all odds.

Likewise from me, RJD and MerryCarey. There is no reason for a "half Christmas holiday." Let the day live in your hearts.
