Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer!
Summer! What a wonderful word!
It means time off for me from school. The beginning of summer brings our church festival. That's this coming weekend. I chair a booth so I'll be there Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday from 2:00-10:00. I need to call some people to help. They're used to it as I always call late but I'd better add that to my list. The following weekend we're going to a wedding. Then, it's off for two dream come true. I'm going to Las Vegas with my husband. His mom just passed away on April 3rd. She told him that it was a place that he had to go to once. We had our plans before she died so she knew he'd be going. We're going to see Donny & Marie while we're there. I'm so looking forward to it. I have a VIP seat which will allow me to meet with them for a few minutes and get my picture with them. I'm most excited to meet Donny. I met him 20 years ago but my last picture with him is in 1979 so I'm updating that. I met Marie back in 2006 so I have a more recent one with her. BUT, I've got about 2 dozen of her dolls and it's been a dream to get one signed so I'll be doing that. I decided that since she has a doll for the Flamingo that I'd buy it. I'll be doing that and getting her to sign it. I'm going to one show by myself and one with Rick. We leave on June 22nd and I'll be meeting and greeting on the 23rd.
If I get a notice, I'll be doing jury duty sometime in July. I was to do it in January but being a teacher, they allow us to put it off until summer so we'll see. At the end of July, I'm attending a couple of day long classes....then in August, it will be back to school.
I'll also be cleaning out two room that have become quite cluttered. I'll have my son's help with that. He hasn't got a job so he'll be "working for me."
There's my summer in a nutshell.
