Definately the season!!!
From Christmas in July, to buying the 1st present, to making peanut brittle in July, reading posts here all year long, watching Christmas movies when it's too stinkin hot to go outside, the excitement of decorating for Halloween b/c I know Thanksgiving & Christmas (the holiday season) are next, (I put up clear & orange lights in the house for halloween - I just love seeing lights in the house again...makes me excited for Christmas decorating) football season which leads into the holiday season, the cooking & baking & visiting, friends & famly coming "home for the holidays", the shopping, holiday flavored coffee, decorating, going to see Christmas shows/performances, the Christmas music, all the snacking (cheeseball & crackers, meat & cheese, dips, etc.) when you go to visit friends or they come to our house, (I'm a snacker...lol) the Christmas specials/movies on tv, caroling, bundling up & going for a walk when it's snowing to look at lights in the neighborhood - ALL OF IT!!!
Christmas is not a time nor a season, but a state of mind. To cherish peace & goodwill, to be plenteous in mercy, is to have the real spirit of Christmas.
