Mass Reindeer Migration Away From the North Pole

Elf Victor began shipping teams of reindeer away from the North Pole today. In the skies south of Santa's house the sky was dark with flying reindeer. We have never seen anything like this before Christmas Eve.

"It is nothing to worry about," said Elf Victor. "Santa wants all the reindeer to train in other parts of the world, especially in warmer climates such as South America and Australia. We understand the heat is really intense right now and in order for the reindeer to do well on Christmas they have to be used to it."

I went by Santa's Stables today after lunch. It was really weird and a little sad to see it empty. I usually go there after lunch every day and I bring snacks to some of my favorite reindeer. Little Sparky, a young reindeer who is very excited to be here, is my good friend. Elf Victor even took Sparky away. I was so sad to miss saying goodbye to him and I hope he is very careful because he is so small.

I don't know why but I feel funny about this. Santa has never done this before and Elf Victor did not seem to say much. It just does not seem normal to do this kind of thing. I am sure things are ok. Santa always knows what he is doing. I'm just a little lonely here without the reindeer. I will let you know first thing when they come back.
