This isn't a great picture, but it is my absolute favorite ornament. It has been in my family since before I was born, I'm about to be 48 to give you an idea. Last year it got broken while in storage, and I thought is was gone forever. Then I came home from work one day and my sweety was able to super glue it together. I actually started to cry a little when I saw what she had done. You can see where a small piece is missing on the top right of it, but that doesn't matter to me. I am so thankful to her for taking the time to do that for me. Now we keep it stored by itself on a little stand, that's what it is on in this picture.
My dad helped me with it. He builds models and I knew he had some expertise in putting together small things. We spent 2 days trying to get it together. These were tiny fragile shattered pieces of glass we were working with. I even looked into ornament restoration online and the cost to do so were insane! I could not stand the thought of throwing away a sentimental piece. We got it together the best we could.
