Stockholm Reports a Merry Christmas

Santa is grandly celebrated in these parts and many warm and wonderful surprises have awaited Santa Claus in Sweden. There are sweet foods, pillows and blankets (people here know how much Santa likes to take naps) and brightly wrapped gifts for Santa waiting for him in many Swedish homes.

That's something many kids don't know about Santa. Santa is a gift-bringer but he is also a gracious gift-receiver. I've heard Santa say on many occasions that those who hold Christmas dear should be willing to gratefully accept a gift as much as they are willing to give one.

Santa reminds us that Christmas is not about presents. It is about love. And whether you are the gift receiver or the gift giver, whatever your role, it should be done with love.

Stay tuned to these pages for more news on Santa and Operation Merry Christmas 2005.
