This is just an unfortunate waste of time and taxpayers money. Why should some people care about a National Day of Prayer, when they admit they don't pray and it doesn't affect them. I am the first to admit I am not an overly religious person, I do believe in God, and Jesus, I just don't go to church any longer. This is the first time I have heard of the National Day of Prayer, and it doesn't bother me at all. I believe everyone needs prayer, or meditation, reflection, or deep thinking call it whatever you want. If they go after Christmas, the courts need to look at the FACT Christmas is not only a religious holiday, it is also very secular, I personally have known some atheists who have celebrated Christmas without religion involved. I know a Jewish family that gets a Christmas tree and opens there Hanukkah gifts on December 25. I know I am on a rant but this bothers me when an extreme minority of the population inflicts their will on the rest of society.
CM3, we miss you.
