I just very easy loop roll the lights in about a one foot diameater circle holding on one hand. I try very hard to not twist the cords in any way. Then I use a tiny wire tie to hold together then attach the number tag for that stand that matches the number on the make happen file that explains where it goes. I have found if you wrap too tight around something it gets to many memory kinks or looks like a pigs tail in them that fight you when you are putting up. Then when I go to put up I just plug in while still in a roll and test bulbs and can change any real easy if I need to. I never snip the wire tie off till the minute I am ready to hang.
