We've lessened the things we do between October 31 & January 1 over the years. If too much is crammed in, we can't enjoy ourselves & we get rundown.

This year Mom will be recooperating from her double knee replacement, so she probably won't feel like getting out as much. She is the one I usually go to most of the activites with. She should be finished with rehab by the middle of October, so hopefully she'll be able to get around well enough by the holidays to enjoy a few things.

I can't get excited about Christmas until Mom gets through surgery & rehab. Maybe by Halloween I'll be in the Christmas mood again! We're trying to pay down debts & I'm not even Christmas shopping yet. I usually am finished by Veteran's Day, but not this year. I guess I'll wait until December & be in the rush with everyone else this year. That'll be a new thing for me, but I'm not looking foward that it.

I am looking forward to DD singing in the children's Christmas program at church this year.
