christmas in our home starts with the christmas tree.it goes up on the last day of november so that our dd(dear daughter)can put her letter for santa under it.the elves come that night and take her letter and leave her an elf to look after until xmas eve.he comes in a red suitcase box with a booklet on how to care for him and a warning as he/she is very young and may get up to a lot of mischief!the elves also leave her her advent calendar and this is her countdown to christmas.
all our shopping is done by mid november so that each weekend in december can be enjoyed with family.this year our dd will go to my parents on the first weekend in december along with her cousin.they will be going to our snowdome and then on to a train ride to see santa.we will be going to our local german market as this is where our first date was and we return each year.
the second weekend the inlaws will be taking dd to a xmas pantomime and for a sleep over.we will be delivering cards and presents.
the third weekend we will be going to our west midlands safari park and to see the new movie 'auther christmas'.
the fourth is of course christmas and the eve is spent baking and cleaning and watching a christmassy film-dd's choice.on the night dd has her bath and usually finds the elves have dropped a lil pressie off of pj's,slippers and a christmas book for bed whilst on their travels checking that the children are settling down well.she will sprinkle her reindeer dust outside and hang up the magic key for santa and lovingly leave him a drink and a snack for him and the reindeers.she gets her elf ready under the tree for santa to collect.she then goes to bed after a story.we will place her pressies under the tree and fill her stocking in her room.
