For those who have recently watched "A Charlie Brown Christmas" or have watched it in the past what are your feelings about the clear religious/Christian aspects of the production?

After all, this is a mainstream animated feature -- shown on television year after year.

When asked by Bill Melendez and Lee Mendelson when he put the reading of Luke 2 by Linus in the production Charles Schulz famously said "It we don't do it, who will?"

What do you make of that?

Consider how time has treated this production as well. A Charlie Brown Christmas was in the news this past season as a school group was scheduled to see a version of it on a field trip. A group of atheists complained and the whole deal was blown up in the media, causing the event to be cancelled.

How does this affect you and do you feel that kids today should or should not watch A Charlie Brown Christmas??
