I echo the sentiments of the members here - we're family - and it's not easy to say goodbye to someone who spread cheer around like it was Christmas confetti. The best way I can celebrate Louann's memory is to honour her with a song I wrote several years ago that I think Louann/CM3 liked the best because it had to do with animals.

North Pole Christmas by: Auntie Mistletoe (sung to the tune of The Unicorn Song as performed by the Irish Rovers)

A long time ago when the North Pole was born
There were several animals true, one with a horn.
Sorry Mister Rhino, you simply will not do
Santa needs a magic reindeer, but thank you.
There were bunnies, polar bears, penguins and reindeer too
Living in the snowy place known as the North Pole to me and you.

Caleb the Elf harnessed Santaís reindeer team
Polished his magic sleigh so it would gleam
Mrs. Claus kissed her husband goodbye
He sprang to his sleigh and flew up into the sky
With a merry Ho Ho Ho and a festive wave
He met with an Air Command Pilot, but he was brave
NORAD tracking Santa all over the place
Making sure he was escorted with style and grace

A long time ago when the North Pole was born
There were several animals true, one with a horn.
Sorry Mister Rhino, you simply will not do
Santa needs a magic reindeer, but thank you.
There were bunnies, polar bears, penguins and reindeer too
Living in the snowy place known as the North Pole to me and you.

Now Mrs. Claus had come to live with Santa Claus
She made his suits, fed him, shared stories of applause
Remembering her first Christmas Eve at the North Pole
Santa set out for his annual festive goal
To deliver special presents for girls and boys
Nibbling on the festive treats while spreading Christmas joys

A long time ago when the North Pole was born
There were several animals true, one with a horn.
Sorry Mister Rhino, you simply will not do
Santa needs a magic reindeer, but thank you.
There were bunnies, polar bears, penguins and reindeer too
Living in the snowy place known as the North Pole to me and you.

Santa returned after his Christmas Eve flight
And the dwellers of the North Pole were in delight
They held a special party to celebrate their joys
Singing and dancing - young elf girls and boys
And Santa shared a reminder of a the special reason
Mrs. Claus nodded at the best joy of the season
A party - a Birthday in a stable long ago and far away
Provides us with Blessings on Christmas Day.

There were bunnies, polar bears, penguins and reindeer too
Living in the snowy place known as the North Pole to me and you.

A Special Gift

Youíre giving me a gift each day,
Discovering similarities along the way,
In sharing cherished days gone by,
Waiting for the season to greet us again,
Your friend, in Christmas, I remain.
A. Mistletoe

Thanks for being here Louann - thanks for being you.
