I wish I had some real advice to give you, friend.
But, the only thing I can think of is to make yourself as comfortable as possible- have your favorite Christmas movies along to watch & try to keep your mind off of things.
Listen to an audio book or your favorite music through headphones, will drown out noises that may unnerve you.
Take non-drowsy dramamine & have some peppermint candy
to calm your stomach.
