So sorry to hear about your dog. It's amazing how often joy and sorrow step on each other's heels. I'm sure you're right: he wanted to make sure the Bambina was home and in good hands before he left you.

It's ok. I don't know if many of you remember, but it's been two years since he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure...and that's quite a long time to stay alive with that. He was 11...

He was there when I coached my first game, he was there when I coached my last. He was there when we met Dr. Wifey...and he was there when I proposed. He was there when we found out we were going to have a baby...and he was there when we brought her home. It was almost like he was just waiting to see her get here....to know she was ok and that we were going to be ok. I hated having to make that decision, but that is part of my job as his companion....to make the difficult decisions that will keep him comfortable. It was peaceful, we got to say goodbye....and Dr. Wifey kissed him as he went to Rainbow Bridge.

It has been a tough few days, but my brother and his wife came down to meet the baby....so that has kept us busy. Little girl is growing like a weed...and between chaning diapers, feeding, and holding...I've been swamped....but I sure do love it.

Have a great day! I will see yall later today!
