What gets me through the day at work, is loving my job. I'm fortunate to be doing something I look forward to. I love my time off work, naturally, but I always look forward to going back after vacations and such, sometimes I miss it (briefly) while I'm away.
I do have those kind of days though, when I'd much rather be at home with my husband and O'Malley the cat or talking with the grandkids on the phone or catching up with my Christmas chums all over the net or working on my Christmas book or my website.
I learned to do what I have to do so I can do what I want to do some years ago and like I said, I'm lucky I enjoy what I do.
I can't visit forums when I'm at work, but when they hooked up my new computer last Thursday - finally with speakers, I headed to AccuRadio for a quick Jingle fix. We have two stations locally that we are supposed to support by tuning in, but the music they're offering is the same old radio so last Friday I listened to Thayrone (Listen Now) and took in a little jazz music instead.
I hear you though, I do have days when I'd rather be home. During those days my life at home gets me through the day. Knowing that my husband and that wild thing we call a cat will be waiting for me and sharing a bit about our day, (yes O'Malley chimes in there too).
I have to admit though, my mind wanders off sometimes to the land of Christmas when I should be concentrating on other things.
