My Dog Sam
Dear Abby, I too was picked on when I was a child and I too turned to our dog Queenie. She always gave me love and she always listened. Bless you.
I just wanted to stop by and say hello to everyone. I haven't been around MMC much lately. Between work, school and "is the hurricane coming here or isn't it" - I haven't had much free time.
The past two months at work have been kind of rough. We've had major layoffs - and while I still have MY job - we are VERY short staffed and the work is piling up. I come home from work and can't even get the energy to do school work.
School is going slow...but good. I still have a high A. I believe my average is 98.8. Not bad for an old biddy, huh? I'm trying to give 2 hours a day M-F and 5 hours a day Sat & Sun. Needless to say, I'm not quite hitting those hours.
We made it through Tropical Storm Fay ok. Basically had some rain and a little wind. We were quite worried about Hurricane Ike. (I'm keeping the people in Texas in my thoughts and prayers!) While we were out of Ike's path, we had two days of heavy rain and winds...from the outer bands as it passed over Cuba and the Keys. To those who haven't been around hurricanes much, they affect your whole body, even if it doesn't hit your area. The low pressure causes sinus and arthritis issues. The past three days have been painful. Today is the first day that I feel "normal".
Well, that's all that's new from MrsH and dvdguy. Hope everyone is well. I'll try to pop on more often.

Mrs. H....How wonderful seeing you back. I can certainly identify with you living in SW Florida. Now, after you explained, I understand why I have been dealing with this horrible sinus problem day after day. These hurricanes do have a physical effect especially being over the age of 50 for me. Lol. Never had these physical problems until this year.
Stay with us and I am with you in keeping those in Texas in our thoughts and prayers. Hurricanes are no fun.
