** Welcome! **

I received a request by PM that I thought was worthy of public response. Seeing that we're gaining more international members these days why can't we have a forum area dedicated to Christmas outside America?

Indeed!!!

We will start this area as a single forum. But as things grow we will glad sub-divide this forum into sections specific to different areas of the world as our members request it.

In setting up this forum, I ask that forum members around the world make an extra effort to stop by here and educate our majority-member crowd (Americans) about Christmas in your part of the world.

This will also be an area, if so desired, where we will allow non-English posting.

Enjoy!!

Jeff

I think it's a great idea to have threads pertaining to Christmas traditions etc. in other countries. It lets everybody learn more about our fellow members.

One of the main things I like about the forum just now, is the way we all mingle with each other. I'd be disappointed if by having self-language sub forums later on, it kept members to themselves, but maybe I've picked that bit up wrongly

Was only suggesting for folks who don't or can't speak English...like the nice lady we had here the other day from Ecuador who struggled to post a hello to us. I felt for her and was thinking there has to be more people like her out there without a place to go.

We'll take it slow though. I only bring it up as an idea.

I think it's cool! I'd like to read the posts that people put in that section and if they post in another language then I'll just have to put it into a translater to figure it out!!

Great Idea!

I love this idea!!! I think learning about other countries traditions is wonderful!!! I learned what Guy Fawkes day was from this post!!!

How welcoming to ALL our MMC families!! I do agree with Maureen though. I love the interaction with all the members of our community so maybe I will have to get one of those translators too!!!!

What a great idea!! I'd love the opportunity to learn more about different cultures and I'm sure that people would like the opportunity to connect with people who share their experiences.
