santahat When do you take down the tree?

I'm looking at mine (Monday night, Jan. 5), and it looks great!

I usually try to take mine down on Jan. 7, the day after the Epiphany. But I might not have time until this coming weekend.

In any case, there isn't much longer to enjoy it.

Also, are any of you amused at how long some of your neighbors keep their decorations up? I sometimes notice decorations well into February.

We undressed our tree last night.
It's still up and naked in the stand... I'll take it down on Wednesday.

I started taking down a few small items on WEd, but most of the decorations were taken down New Years Day. I helped my husband take the lights off the tree on FRiday. it feels so good to have the house back to normal once again, and all decorations put away. Now, I can't wait to decorate for Valentines Day!

I've posted this before but, I leave my tree up until atleast Jan. 12th. My outside lights are still lit up and my trees are still up and shining brightly. I did start to put some of the smaller things away only because my husband is on vacation this week and I can't life anything because of just having surgery. So, I thought that he would have been of some help but, he got frustrated and quit! Now it looks like our trees will be up until Feb. Except for 1 tree...my husband knocked it over today! So, since all of the ornaments flew off of it I decided to take it down. He is the most clumsy person I've ever known.

Tree still up. Outside lights still on. Lots of houses in our area still have outside lights on.

I packed things away on Saturday 1/10. There are a few residuals around...I am noticing a pattern: I like to leave decorations through the Epiphany (1/6), then quickly remove.
