tree My Christmassy Family

I'm sitting here on the computer working away and all of a sudden I hear "Jungle Bells" from the kids TV room. They're watching "Drake & Josh Christmas Special" that we taped last year. My heart just fills up with warmth and I think I'll do some online Christmas looking now. (I say Christmas looking because I won't be buying for another month).

Also today, I was doing some cross-stitching for my sister and my husband said that he wants me to make one for his mom for this Christmas. I don't know of any free cross-stitch patterns you can download, but maybe I'll take a trip to Michael's this weekend.

Drake & Josh is a pretty funny show. The Christmas show was funny. My kids have me watching all those shows; Drake & Josh, Hannah Montana, even Spongebob...LOL!

My daughter and I are the Christmassy part of the family. DH just tolerates us! He knows I take a day of vacation from work to watch QVC's Christmas in July. DD & I watch Christmas DVD's all year long and I listen to Christmas music when I'm alone in van all year long. He only gets excited when the new Star Trek Hallmark ornaments come out! I just look forward to the first Christmas commercials on tv. Then DH & I both say, "'Tismass 'Mercials!" and I clap my hands like my four-year-old would! It's become a silly little tradition for DH & me!

That's one of the coollest kid things to do..! Watch Christmas programs in the middle of summer... back in the day, before VCR's and DVD's, me and my siblings would often yank out the Chipmunk albums or (cartoon) Grinch soundtrack record and play and sing for hours... much to the chagrin of my long suffering Mom, who liked Christmas, just not in July...
