My Merry Christmas Announcement

Christmas Decorations Christmas is a hands-on art. From the lights we put on the house to the decorations we put on the tree to the great foods we eat in the process, Christmas is a time of doing -- and this is the place we gather to talk, plan and share.

Christmas stocking patterns/ideas

Hope this is the right subforum.

I want to make my own stocking for Christmas this year, as it's the first year I'll not be with my family, and Holland doesn't really do the stocking thing like we do in Canada/USA. So has anyone here made some before? Does anyone have a good pattern to make one? Most websites say 'trace from an old stocking', but mine are in storage in Canada. :P

I love making crafts, and I'm going to enjoy picking out the best colours and fabrics. I'm such a Christmas geek.

I made one for my s/o a few years ago but I had a old stocking to trace. There are many sites that have stocking templates. And yes I agree check out the Martha Stewart website...she has many ideas on there.
