What is the one must have thing

hi everyone
What is the one thing you must have to help make your christmas prefect.??
The one thing that you wood spent extra money or time on to get it.
Is it cookies. Does it have to be turkey or something else for the dinner??. Your light.s.The open fire?? The christmas movie..

For me the thing has to be the outdoor lights that just get bigger every year. bought 4 of ebay 2 weeks ago and had to pay customs charges on then this happens me all the time think they have my addess on a wall :~) i dont go on holidays as am a home bird i just live for christmas and getting the lights up .
Really feel if i did not have this christmas wood not be the same

I would have to say my Christmas village. It gets better every year, with more practice setting it up and buying new fun pieces.

I agree with you about the lights~ My husband has recently gotten into decorating outside (thought that would never happen!) I so look forward to seeing what he does with it! Love coming home to the decorations outside, makes it extra cozy & festive

Baking a huge amount of cookies the week before Christmas. I try all sorts of new recipes, then we make up packages and give them as gifts. Don't laugh, but for my husband it's fruitcake. He really loves it. One year I even made him a fruitcake, but usually we just order from the monks.

It's my dads delicious shortbread cookies.. Unbeknownst to him.. For me it is a christmas tradition for him to sit and watch tv while kneading cookie dough... I look forward to them every year.

The number one thing is my family. Just wouldnt be the holidays without them around. Then I would have to have a tie with the Christmas tree and Christmas village we put up. The village is special because we get a new addition each year, I go with my mom. The tree is important because every year I have gone with my dad, and we use our keepsake ornaments. Doesnt get any better.
