My Christmas Eve

Well, on Christmas Eve, I wake up early and just start jumping around. I usually watch that Flinstones Christmas Special and the Jetsons Christmas hehe. At 5pm, we all drive over to my aunts and uncles, and we have a gift exchange (we draw names in October and buy them a gift for $25 or less.) And we eat, etc you know. Then we open presents. On Christmas morning, I wake up at 2am with my dog and look under the tree, scope stuff out lol, and sit on the couch with her and watch tv. Around 9, my brothers come over and we open presents! Awesome.

I come from a very large family. We haven't pull names in a long time. I think that I will take it upon myself to start this tradition back into our family. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing your Christmas Eve traditions!

DH and I usually both have to work until noon on Christmas Eve (unless it falls on a weekend...although I'm going to ask my boss about this year since Christmas Eve is on a Monday...might be able to get it off), but then we go home and watch a few random Christmas specials that are playing on tv and finish up our last minute Christmas preparations before going to the in-laws where we will exchange gifts with Dh's family. It's all great fun!

Those are all great traditions!

For me, nothing happens until after supper, so you can imagine the pain of watching the older members of the family eat slowly and patiently! Afterwards we gather around the tree and the younger members exchange gifts between themselves and the older members as well. The kids get their gift giving done the day before so they have Christmas all to themselves!

Christmas Eve for me is just a fun day, we don't do much, family's all got together, we eat & watch a Christmas movie or two, late-night do a last minute gift wrapping & go 2 bed to see what's under the tree in the morning!

My family has a huge Christmas Eve party every year. All of my family and friends come. We have a huge buffet dinner and present exchange(we draw names) then all of the grandchildren sleep at meme and Papa's house. Very early in the morning all of the adults return. We have breakfast together and open presents.
