Family Christmas movie recommendation

I am looking for some Christmas movie ideas for a young family with children ranging in age from 1-10. What kid friendly movies can you recommend?

The only two I've thought of so far are "Muppet Christmas Carol" and "Polar Express". Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

This may help you out a bit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christmas_films

With our boys who are aged 4 & 7 they like Disney's "The Santa Clause Trilogy"
Yogi's First Christmas
It's A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie
Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas
Disney's Christmas Carol

Great suggestion by what you already mentioned and, Xmas365. They list can go on and on because there are so many out there. The really young ones (maybe the 10 year old) would probably like, Christmas Eve on Sesame Street. That is one of my very favorites. I watch that one alone even when the grandchildren are not here! I have LOTS of favorites so the list can get really long, you might take a look at the list Xmas posted.

"Babes in Toyland" (aka "March of the Wooden Soldiers") with Laurel & Hardy. It was made in 1934, but there are two beautifully colorized versions out on video. Lots of silly comedy that a child would appreciate, pretty music, and Mother Goose characters, plus a little bit of scariness toward the end with a happy ending. If you want to know more about it, I did a five-minute featurette about the movie for the Merry Podcast last year---you can listen to it here. (Click the link to stream it, or right-click to download it and listen later.)

Christmas Eve on Sesame Street gets another vote! It's old School SS and I LOVE it still.

And don't forget about all the 'classic' Christmas specials like Rudolph, Santa Claus is Coming to Town, etc.

The Polar Express is a really great movie for childern and adults. The Santa clause movies are okay, I really enjoyed the last two.

Yes, Mickey Mouse Twice upon a Christmas is excellent, my grandchildren love to watch it. I also got the Mickey Mouse once upon a Christmas but it's more cartoonish graphics so the 2nd is our favorite.

Any Rankin/Bass Christmas DVD would work, VeggieTales Christmas movies (The Toy That Saved Christmas and The Star of Christmas), Garfield Christmas, Charlie Brown Christmas

I would keep the movies on the light side for the youngest ones. What may not scare a 10 year old may terrify someone 5 or younger.
