It is illegal to fish with a bow and arrow in Kentucky.

Any person who displays, handles or uses any kind of reptile in connection with any religious service or gathering shall be fined not less than fifty dollars ($50) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100)

All bees entering Kentucky shall be accompanied by certificates of health, stating that the apiary from which the bees came was free from contagious or infectious disease

By law, anyone who has been drinking is "sober" until he or she "cannot hold onto the ground

It is illegal to transport an ice cream cone in your pocket

It's illegal to fish in the Ohio River in Kentucky without an Indiana Fishing License

A woman may not buy a hat without her husband’s permission

Hat buying is serious business.

In Illinois:

You may be arrested for vagrancy if you do not have at least one dollar bill on your person.

You must contact the police before entering the city in an automobile.

The English language is not to be spoken

But thankfully, there are also these laws

One may not pee in his neighbor’s mouth. (Champaign...and is this really an issue?)

It's Illegal to eat in a place that is on fire (Chicago)

It is forbidden to fish while sitting on a giraffe's neck (Chicago)

It is unlawful to change clothes in an automobile with the curtains drawn, except in case of fire.

My guess is that 90% of those alleged "looney laws" have been fabricated; no such law ever existed.

Note that these lists never give the statute number and edition where people could actually verify them (law libraries typically keep published statute books going back to the earliest days of statehood).

Some of the Indiana laws are actually enforced, believe it or not...

It is illegal for a liquor store to sell cold soft drinks.
Liquor stores may not sell milk.
Grocery stores may not sell any type of cold liquor.
One man may not back into a parking spot because it prevents police officers from seeing the license plate.

This is a funny one:
It is against the law to pass a horse on the street
