I love the bunnies site! I found it about a year ago and I always watch when they put a new movie up.
The most accurate so far? Snakes On a Plane. What a waste of money that movie was!

Thank you for posting that! I could almost hear it being narrated by Mr. Stewart himself.

It's one of the best. You'll laugh and cry. You are so lucky to get to see it in a theater. I'm happpy for you.

Wow, that sounds like a perfect evening.

I have the DVD and I love this movie. Everytime I watch it I discover more about the movie. God's spiritual law of sowing and reaping are all through this movie.
The spirit of Christmas shines and the cast, well you can't get better than Jimmy Stewart to play the lead. He had a natural talent that when he was acting it didn't even seem like acting. You are drawn to his easy going nature and his light humor.
Donna Reed, what a grand lady to play his leading lady.

The town of Bedford Falls seems like everyone's hometown. The angel Clarence shows George Bailey (Jimmy Stewart) what life would have been without him and how he has affected people with his presence. It is A Wonderful Life.

I agree with Tanja ,I so love the old theater's . I remember the one's where I was born. The Strand and The Rivoli .Both have long since been torn down .

I can't find any info on the Strand ,but the Rivoli was built in 1927.There was even a balcony filled with seat's .They had a huge Wurlitzer pipe organ that they would play prior to the show's and during intermission.

I myself have never seen "It's A Wonderful Life" ,but in doing a Google search ,it shows a NR (not rated) rating ,so for it to of been around since the 1940's and not have a rating I would say that it is more than safe for the entire family.

I LOVE It's a Wonderful Life! I can still remember the first time I saw it. I was in Jr. High, back in the late 80's when it was still okay to celebrate Christmas in schools and the day before Christmas vacation, they showed us It's a Wonderful Life. I was amazed, touched and just so thrilled to have seen it. I remember going home and telling my mother all about it, even though she must have seen it a million times herself.

Even after having seen it hundreds of times I can't help but get a bit teary eyed during certain points in the movie.

How lucky you are to get to see this film in a theatre, especially a historical one, where it was probably shown first-run! The movie is funny, sad, uplifting---a little bit of everything, quite a Christmas ride, with a buoyant ending! It's a different experience to share the experience with an audience rather than watching it at home. After you've seen it, let us all know what you think!

If you love the movie, check out "The 'It's a Wonderful Life' Book" by Jeanine Basinger. It's a fine "making-of" book that includes the entire screenplay, plenty of photos, and interesting trivia. The section on censor objections (can you believe it?) is particularly interesting. Did you know that, when it was first released, censors did not want the film to play in England until it deleted all references to angels and wings?
