At least some Christmas with a listen link! - http://www.wshh.com/ May go all Christmas soon!
It started on Fri. I'm so excited! If I could only get John Tesh to play Christmas music on his show everything would be perfect! I start work at midnight and he's on at midnight so he ruins it for me but, the rest of the day it's all Christmas and I'm lovin' it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Many public radio holiday (Thanksgiving to New Year 2009) prorgam schedules are now available. If you are not familiar with the station(s) that serve your area a good place to start is here - http://www.npr.org/stations/ . Many will have listen online links.

Rather than post all the ones I am finding, I'll let you find yours and share here; especially if your station has a listen online link. Also list any locally produced shows with Christmas specials. I can't get enough of those!

Prep for Christmas Eve/Day & Weekend Before Christmas

Jon Solomon has announced the twenty-first annual airing of his twenty-four hour Christmas marathon show on WPRB in Princeton, NJ. The show starts at six pm Eastern on Christmas Eve and runs through six pm Christmas Day Evening. - http://keepingscoreathome.com/ & http://www.wprb.com/ with a listen online link.

Jon’s show is a must listen for those who enjoy Christmas music beyond the tried and true! Check out past playlists. Every year I record the entire show on three VHS Hi-Fi videocassettes. It’s low tech, I know, but the most convenient way to fit my schedule. I have my computer run through a stereo system that includes several record methods including the HiFi VCR.

Here is reminder too of the many Christmas shows that will air on the weekend before Christmas. The top three National shows for me will be “American Routes” ( http://www.americanroutes.org/stations.html ), “Blues Before Sunrise” (http://www.publicradiofan.com/cgibin...?programid=170) and “The Bone Conduction Music Show” (with an online listen link - http://www.thayrone.com/ ).

Other shows will include locally Alabama Public Radio ( http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/wual/guide.guidemain ) produced shows such as “Jugs Jukes, & Jazz”, “Bama Bluegrass”, “The Crooners” (a Crown fave if they ever listened!) , and “All Things Acoustic.”

Some of my other favorite listen online opportunities are KUT in Austin, TX (http://kut.org/), WWOZ in New Orleans, LA (http://www.wwoz.org/) & WXPN in Philadelphia, PA (http://www.xpn.org/).

I’m always interested in any locally produced shows on your station! List them here with a link! Do you record and archive?
